Four Weimaraner Puppies Had One Goal and It Was Outside the Playpen
Four puppy faces peer over the edge of the playpen, front paws gripping the soft mesh as if this is a very serious prison break. The one in front has the most determined stare, the two behind seem to be waiting for orders, and the smallest is still working out how to reach the top. Beyond the bars, the room is full of tempting things: a basket of toys, a plant on a table, a pair of discarded shoes and a world of unexplored floor.
A playpen gives puppies a safe space while the family cooks, works or runs errands. Make it a happy place with a soft blanket, a few chew toys and fresh water, and never use it as punishment. Weimaraners are clever and athletic, so even small puppies may soon learn to climb or hop out, and a pen that is tall enough matters. As they grow, expect them to need more room and more activity. Short, regular breaks for play, training and bathroom trips help burn off energy and keep the pen a calm spot.
The great escape might not happen today. But with four sets of paws and one shared plan, it is only a matter of time.
The playpen has a way of making every puppy look like a tiny, determined mastermind. Behind the big eyes is a mind full of plans, and each one starts with getting a front paw to the top. The room outside is simply too interesting to ignore.
