Three Corgi Puppies Climbed Into a Row of Rain Boots by the Door
A trio of tricolor puppies has climbed into a row of rain boots, one in navy, one in olive green, and one in rusty orange, each with front paws propped on the rim. Their white chests and tan eyebrows stand out against the dark fur, and all three wear alert, curious expressions. A glass door and a bit of garden at the edge of the porch tell you the weather has probably been wet.
Boots, shoes, and puppies are a risky combination. Leather, rubber, and laces all attract chewing, and puppies can swallow bits that cause blockages. If you keep footwear by the door, put it on a high shelf or inside a closed cabinet until your pup learns what belongs in her mouth. Offering a chew toy at the door is a good swap for the real thing.
Corgis are small but sturdy, and they like to be involved in whatever their people are doing, including going out. That makes the front door an excellent place to practice manners: ask your puppy to sit before the leash goes on, and reward her for waiting calmly at the threshold. Wet weather can also be tough on paws, so wipe them off after a walk and dry them well. If your puppy seems cold, your vet can advise on suitable gear.
These three seem to have found the best viewing platform in the house, and they are ready for any splashing that comes next.
