The Scarf Was Almost Done, Until Domino Became Part of It
The scarf is coming along nicely. The dog is also wrapped in it. Domino sits upright in a tangle of cream yarn, loops draped across his neck and chest, big dark eyes looking sideways at the camera with polite confusion. Grandpa Gus knits on, glasses on his nose and a kind smile under his white mustache, while the needles click in his hands. His fishing vest is full of tools, and behind him a basket of colorful yarn balls, a lamp, family photos and a cozy couch fill the room.
Yarn and string can be dangerous for dogs and cats. If a pet swallows string, it can twist through the intestines and cause a medical emergency, so keep yarn put away when you are not knitting and never let a dog chew it. If your dog has swallowed any, or you see string hanging from his mouth, do not pull on it and call your vet immediately. Keep needles in a closed bag as well. French Bulldogs are curious, playful and often a bit mischievous, so a dog toy or a puzzle feeder is a better way to keep him busy while you work on your craft.
Gus isn't annoyed. He keeps knitting and glances over, shaking his head with a grin. The needles click, the yarn tightens and Domino sits like a proud gift. It will take a while to untangle, and he will probably be rewarded with a treat for being so patient. Crafts sometimes turn out differently than planned, and this one has a very cute surprise.
