A Corgi and a Piglet Took Over the Basket of Warm Towels
A wicker basket overflows with soft cream and gray towels, and curled inside is a sleepy sable Corgi with her ears folded and her nose tucked down. Beside her, a small pink piglet lies with her snout resting on a towel and her eyes closed, sharing the warmth. A white wall, a scattering of clothes, and a wooden floor sit around them. It looks as if the laundry never made it to the shelf. A sock has fallen from the basket and lies on the floor beside them, evidence of a busy laundry morning.
Warm laundry is hard for many pets to resist, and it is easy to see why: it is soft, cozy, and smells like their people. A basket of clean towels can be a cozy bed, but make sure there are no pins, small buttons, or loose threads that could be swallowed. Corgis love routine and company, so a favorite napping spot often becomes a daily habit. Wash the towels regularly with pet-safe detergent, and ask your vet if you have questions about bedding and skin sensitivities.
Penny has fallen asleep with a full, warm tummy and a Corgi at her side. The laundry can wait. A basket of towels and a good friend make a fine place for a nap. They look like they plan to stay until the dryer buzzes.
