The Porch Steps Belonged to a Grumpy-Looking Cat and a Sleepy Puppy
Evening on the old porch steps, and two friends have chosen their spot. A cream Exotic Shorthair sits with his round flat face turned slightly away, his amber eyes narrowed in a perfectly grumpy expression. Next to him, Waffles has his chin resting on his paws and his eyes closed, ears fluffy and soft. A flowerpot, some fallen leaves and a coil of hose sit on the weathered boards behind them.
Exotic Shorthairs are known for their sweet, quiet nature and their teddy-bear looks, and the grumpy expression is just the shape of their faces. They tend to be calm cats who like a steady routine. Flat-faced cats can be more prone to tear staining and breathing issues, so regular face cleaning and vet checkups matter. Porches are lovely spots for pets to relax, but they should be supervised and the area kept free of hazards like loose nails or chemicals. A calm evening on the porch is good for people too.
The sun is going down, the puppy is half asleep, and the cat has his usual serious look. Together they make a fine pair of porch sitters, and they seem to be in no hurry to go inside. Waffles has found his best friend, and the cat has found a loyal companion who never complains about his expression.
