The Ginger Cat Had Opinions About the Wheelbarrow. The Puppy Didn't.
A green metal wheelbarrow has been turned into a front-row seat for two very different faces. On the left, a red tabby Exotic Shorthair with a squished, serious expression gazes off to one side, orange eyes half closed in disapproval of something unseen. On the right, a golden puppy with a round face and drooping lids sits snug against her side, eyes nearly shut. Behind them, a plank fence and a potted plant stand in the shade, and a pile of garden shoes and a blue bin sit in the corner of the yard. The wheelbarrow's old paint peels in patches.
Exotic Shorthairs have a plush coat and a round, sweet face, and they are often described as calm and affectionate. Their flat faces can make them more prone to tear staining and some breathing difficulties, so keep them out of heat and talk to your vet about regular checkups. Garden tools and wheelbarrows can be fun for pets to explore, but rusty metal or leftover fertilizer and chemicals can be harmful, so it helps to clean the area first. Always keep the wheelbarrow still while pets are in it, and lift them out gently when the ride is over. A short, calm stop is plenty.
The cat's face says she has many complaints about the ride. The puppy's face says he has none at all.
