Two Very Different Noses Met at One Water Bowl
Thirst has brought two very different animals to one shared bowl. A fluffy white Maltese leans in from the left with his silky fur brushing the water, and a brown-and-white calf lowers her pink nose into the same bowl from the right. The metal rim is wide enough for both, and ripples are spreading across the surface. The room behind them is bright and a little cluttered, with a potted plant and a basket by the wall.
Fresh water matters for every pet, and it is one of the simplest ways to keep a dog healthy. Small dogs like Maltese drink less in total than big ones, but they still need a clean bowl that is refilled daily and washed often. Metal or ceramic bowls are usually easier to keep clean than plastic.
Maltese are tiny companion dogs with long white coats that need regular brushing to prevent tangles, and they are known for being gentle, playful and devoted. Their small size means they should be supervised around large animals, which can step on them without noticing. A calm shared drink, like this one, is the safest way to be friends.
There is a quiet kindness in sharing the same bowl without any fuss. Clover is taking big, thirsty sips, and her small white companion is waiting patiently for his turn at the other edge.
