A Sunny Spot on the Floor Turned Into a Bichon and Calf Nap
A single stripe of sunshine has landed on the wooden floor, and two friends have found it. A white Bichon Frise is curled up like a cotton ball with his dark button eyes half open, and a brown-and-white calf lies alongside him with her chin pressed flat to the boards. Warm light is catching the freckles on her nose, and in the background a wooden fence and a small watering can sit just outside the glass.
Bichon Frises are cheerful, small dogs with soft, curly white coats. They love attention, tend to be playful and usually do well with other pets. Their fluffy coat grows continuously, so regular brushing, trims and baths are part of life with a Bichon, and a clean, dry coat is more comfortable in warm sunshine.
Sunbathing is something many animals do on purpose. Dogs, cats and young farm animals will all follow a sunbeam around the house. It feels good, but pets can overheat, so make sure there is a shady spot and water nearby, and never leave a pet in a sun-heated room or car. If a dog pants hard or seems wobbly, move him to a cooler spot and call your vet.
For now nobody needs a thing except the sun, a bit of floor and each other. Clover and her fluffy pal are having a very good afternoon.
