The Cocker Spaniel Made Room on His Fluffy Bed for a Little Guest
A big white shaggy dog bed has been turned into a double bed. A black Cocker Spaniel with long, silky ears lies on it with a soft, happy expression and his tongue just peeking out, while a small brown bunny rests next to him with her ears upright and her front paws tucked. Toys, a blanket and a basket sit scattered across the floor of the bright room behind them.
Cocker Spaniels are friendly, affectionate dogs with a gentle, eager temperament. Their long ears need regular cleaning and checking, since they can trap moisture and lead to infections, and their silky coats need frequent brushing. They are happiest when they get lots of time with their people, and they tend to get along well with other animals.
Soft bedding is great for dogs but not always safe for rabbits, who may chew on fluffy fibers. If a rabbit visits a dog bed, watch her to make sure she does not nibble on the stuffing, as it can cause digestive trouble. Always provide her with her own hay and a safe, quiet resting spot, and talk to your vet if you have any concerns.
A good bed is made better by good company. Pip seems to have decided that this is the best spot in the house, and her spaniel friend is happy to share.
