The Yorkie Reserved a Spot on the Windowsill for His Friend
Side by side on a wide, weathered windowsill, a blue and tan Yorkshire Terrier and a small brown bunny gaze out at the day. The Yorkie's silky coat catches the sunlight, and his bright eyes watch the garden below. Beside him, the bunny sits upright with her ears alert. Lace curtains sway softly behind them, and a ceramic mug and a few dried flowers decorate the sill.
Windowsills are favorite spots for pets because they offer warmth and an interesting view. Yorkies are curious, alert little terriers who love to keep an eye on the neighborhood, and a window gives them the perfect lookout. A few safety points matter, though. Make sure windows are secured or screened so small pets cannot fall, and keep cords and breakable items out of reach. Rabbits are happiest with a view too, but sudden movement or loud noises can stress them, so a quiet window is best. Strong sun through glass can heat a spot more than you might expect, so check that your pets are not getting too warm.
The two look like old friends at a favorite cafe, sitting close and watching the world. The Yorkie has the posture of a small, proud lookout, while the bunny looks content to follow his lead. A sunny window and a good friend nearby are enough to make a morning feel like a gift.
