The Frenchie Curled Around His Sleeping Bunny Like a Little Wall
In a deep woven basket lined with a soft blanket, a fawn French Bulldog has curled up around a small brown bunny. His wrinkled face rests above her, his eyes closed, one big ear tilted. The bunny lies tucked below his chin, calm and snug. Behind them a kitchen counter holds a few plants and a plate, and morning light spills across the room.
French Bulldogs are cuddly, affectionate dogs who love to be close to their people and, in many cases, to other animals they trust. They do not tolerate heat or heavy exercise well, so a gentle indoor nap is just right. For a rabbit, a basket lined with soft cloth can feel like a burrow, though loose threads can be a chewing hazard, so check any fabric regularly. Many rabbits show contentment by relaxing their bodies, lying with their feet tucked or even stretched out, and the bunny here looks completely relaxed. When a dog and a rabbit sleep together, it usually means they feel secure around each other.
The Frenchie has taken up the role of guardian without anyone asking him to. He sleeps with a protective curve, his body forming a wall. The bunny sleeps as if she knows it. It is easy to imagine that, in a house this quiet, the loudest sound is the pair of them breathing together.
