The Bichon Puppy Stayed Perfectly Still While the Pony Napped on His Paws
The Bichon Frise puppy is a ball of white curls with dark button eyes, and between his front paws a shaggy cream pony has fallen asleep. Her mane sticks up in every direction and her eyes are closed in total contentment. The puppy, for his part, holds still with a serious look, like a guard on duty. The wooden floor around them is dotted with household odds and ends, such as a basket of towels, a pair of slippers and a heap of dirty laundry.
Bichon Frises are cheerful, playful small dogs with soft, curly coats that need regular grooming. They are social and often love being at the center of attention. A Bichon is small, so a pony could easily step on him by accident, and care is needed when they share space. Ponies should be kept in pastures, barns or paddocks with proper shelter, and indoor visits should be short and carefully supervised, if allowed at all. Many animals sleep best when they feel secure, and a sleeping companion is a clear sign of trust. If you notice your own pets napping close together, it usually means they feel comfortable. Good routines, rest and gentle contact are the ingredients of strong bonds between animals.
The puppy is holding very still, as if he knows how precious the nap is. It is a small, quiet kind of heroism.
