A Boxer Puppy Pressed His Nose to the Glass as the Snow Began
The Boxer puppy has his front paws on the window ledge and his dark muzzle close to the glass, watching snowflakes drift across the yard. Behind him the room glows with a Christmas tree, a pile of gifts and a soft blue blanket on the sofa. In the yard, a bare tree and a fence stand under a pale sky. His eyes are bright and thoughtful, as if he understands that tonight is special.
Boxers are curious, affectionate dogs with a lot of energy, and they love being part of the action, even if it is just watching from the window. Puppies are often fascinated by snow, and many love to romp in it once they have seen it. Be careful with cold, though, because Boxers have short coats and little body fat, so they get chilly quickly. Short outings and a warm towel afterward are good ideas. Boxers also tend to be sensitive to heat and cold, so keep an eye on the temperature. Christmas Eve can be a busy time with visitors and last-minute preparations, so give your puppy a quiet place and a chew toy. A walk before the evening starts can help him settle.
Outside, the snow keeps falling, and inside, a puppy watches the world turn white. It is a quiet, hopeful sort of night.
