Those Ears and Tiny Antlers Made One Kitten Look Like Magic

Those enormous ears and tiny antlers give this grey Devon Rex kitten a look that is part pixie, part reindeer. She sits on a snowy porch with a dusting of ice around her paws, her big green eyes wide open and her thin, wavy coat looking a little ruffled by the wind. A white railing and a dark green doormat sit behind her, and the neighborhood is quiet under the winter sky.

Devon Rex cats have a short, soft, wavy coat that provides less insulation than many other breeds, so they feel the cold easily. They're lively, people-focused and playful, and they're often called elfin because of their large ears and slim faces. A porch in snow isn't a good place for any kitten for long, and one with a very thin coat especially needs the warmth of indoors. A quick photo and a return to a heated room is plenty. If a kitten feels cold or shivers, she should be brought inside right away, and you can talk to your vet about winter care.

Her antlers sit at a slightly crooked angle, which only adds to the charm. Let's call her Twig. She looks like she'd happily lead a sleigh across the porch boards if somebody found her a harness, but a warm blanket and a lap are probably the better reward.
