A Cream Scottish Fold Kitten Becomes a Very Serious Bumblebee
Two tiny yellow pom-pom antennae bounce on top of her hood, little clear wings sit on her back and a fuzzy striped suit covers a cream Scottish Fold kitten from her chin down. Her amber eyes are huge and a little worried, her folded ears sit flat against her head and she is surrounded by crisp yellow, orange and brown leaves. In the background a grinning jack-o'-lantern watches from the porch.
Scottish Folds are known for their folded ears and round faces, and they are generally sweet, quiet cats who like staying close to their families. Because the fold gene can affect cartilage, it is a good idea to talk with your vet about joint comfort and regular checkups. Their small size when young makes them delicate, and they appreciate gentle handling.
A bee suit like this is very cute, but not every kitten will tolerate it. A short, supervised photo session on a soft pile of leaves is much more pleasant than a long wear, and leaves should be checked for sharp twigs or dampness. If she seems stressed, with wide eyes, a low body or sudden stillness, it is a clear sign to take it off and give her a cuddle.
We will call her Honey, and she is a very serious bee. Her expression says she has important business among the leaves. A tiny pollinator in a big autumn garden is the best kind of Halloween story.
