A Snow Bengal Kitten Wears Her First Witch Hat on the Hay Bale
A pointed black hat with an orange band sits a little crooked on the head of a snow Bengal kitten, and her wide blue eyes look slightly surprised. Her pale cream coat has faint stripes and spots, and she sits on a hay bale with her little paws neatly together. Behind her, a pot of orange mums, a pair of boots, a few gloves and a jack-o'-lantern decorate the corner of a porch.
Bengal cats are known for their spotted or marbled coats, which come from their wild Asian leopard cat ancestry mixed with domestic cats. Snow Bengals have a pale coat and often blue eyes. They are highly active and intelligent, and need lots of playtime, climbing and mental challenges. A bored Bengal can invent games of its own, so cat trees and puzzle toys are valuable.
A tiny hat for a cat is one of the simplest costumes, but the strap should be loose and the hat should not cover the eyes or ears in a way that distresses her. Many cats shake it off after a moment, which is fine, and a treat for being a good sport makes the experience positive. Hay bales are fun to climb, but kittens should not eat the straw, and outdoor visits should always be supervised.
We will call her Willow, and she looks like a small apprentice witch with her first hat. Her spell book has not arrived yet, but the stripes and blue eyes already look magical. The porch is the perfect place to begin her studies.
