A White Bulldog Puppy Wears a Witch Hat Two Sizes Too Tall
The pointed black hat is a little tall for a head this small, and the white Bulldog puppy under it has a sweet, solemn expression. He sits on a bed of golden straw with his big white paws side by side, a loose fold of skin around his neck and a pink-brown nose tilted slightly to the side. Behind him, a gray front door, a small lantern, a cluster of dry corn stalks and a pile of mums and pumpkins decorate the stoop.
Bulldog puppies are round and wrinkly bundles of calm, and they are usually affectionate and gentle. Their short noses and stocky build mean they need protection from heat and strenuous exercise, so short strolls and plenty of rest are best. Their facial wrinkles should be cleaned gently and kept dry, and a vet can show how to care for them.
A witch hat is a simple costume, but it must have a comfortable chin strap or no strap at all, and it should not slide over a puppy's eyes. If he is bothered by it, a quick photo and then taking it off is plenty. Hay is a charming prop, but puppies should not eat it, and a quick brush afterward clears any straw from their wrinkles.
We will call him Cauldron. He wears the hat as if it is the most natural thing in the world. His spells are mostly naps, and his potions are puppy kisses. The porch is magical with him on it.
