The Boston Terrier Is Looking at Anything but the Cushion

AI imageboston terriercouch cushionstuffing

White stuffing is bursting out of the cushion beside him, and the Boston Terrier on the couch has turned his head sharply the other way. His black and white coat is crisp and his tall ears stand straight up, while his dark eyes look at nothing in particular. A blanket, a glass of water, and a toy ball sit on the couch behind him, as if the whole room were pretending along.

Boston Terriers are friendly, lively little dogs sometimes called the American Gentleman because of their tuxedo-like markings. They are smart and affectionate, and they often love being near their families, but they can get bored when they are left alone for long periods. Chewing and shredding soft furniture is a common way dogs let off steam, especially if they have not had enough exercise. Because Boston Terriers have short noses, they can overheat easily, so walks are best kept short in warm weather. Stuffing and fabric can be dangerous if swallowed, so call your vet if you think he ate some. Puzzle toys, short training sessions, and a sturdy chew toy can give him something better to do with all that energy.

He is clearly working on his story, and it is not a very good one. The cushion can be mended or replaced, and a long walk will probably settle the matter.
