A Tiny Yorkie Sits in the Empty Pizza Box Looking Satisfied
The pizza box lies open on the floor, with only a few crumbs and a grease stain left inside, and a little Yorkshire Terrier sits right in the middle of it. Her silky blue and tan coat is a bit messy, her ears are perked and her eyes are bright with a tiny, satisfied smile. A pair of scissors, a towel and a few scattered items sit around the room behind her.
Yorkshire Terriers are small dogs with big attitudes. They were originally bred to catch rats in mills and mines, so they have a bold, determined spirit. A Yorkie may be only a few pounds, but she is fearless, and a pizza box on a low table or floor is easy to reach for a tiny thief with a big nose.
Pizza is not a good snack for dogs. It is salty and fatty, and toppings like onion and garlic can be toxic to them. Small dogs are especially vulnerable to upset stomachs and pancreatitis from rich foods. If your dog has eaten pizza with onion or garlic, call your vet. Keep leftover boxes closed and in a safe spot.
The Yorkie looks proud and a little full. She is sitting in the box as if it is a throne, and she does not seem to have any plans of leaving. Whoever left the box out has learned a valuable lesson about dogs and delivery.
