The Plant Pot Tipped Over. The Poodle Sat Very, Very Straight.
A chocolate-brown Poodle sits on the wooden floor, her curly fur looking tidy despite the scene behind her, and she gazes toward the camera with soft, serious eyes. Next to her, a terracotta pot lies on its side with a trailing green plant and a spill of dark soil across the floor. Sun pours in through a curtained window, and slippers and a woven basket stand along the wall. Not a speck of dirt is on her. We'll call her Cocoa Bean, and she is a picture of innocence.
Poodles are among the most intelligent dog breeds, and they are known for their curly coats and eager-to-please attitude. They come in several sizes and are very trainable, but they also need mental stimulation or they find their own entertainment. Their curly coat doesn't shed much, but it needs regular grooming. Many popular houseplants, including pothos, can be harmful if eaten, so check with your vet or a trusted pet resource before choosing plants for a home with dogs. Plant stands and hanging pots can keep your greenery safe from curious paws.
Cocoa Bean seems to believe the plant tipped by itself. She sits perfectly composed, and her curls are as neat as ever. A broom and a dustpan will fix the floor, and the plant will go on a high shelf where Poodle paws can't reach.
