Two Bernese Puppies Climbed Into the Little Red Wagon
Two Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are sitting upright in a small red wagon, shoulder to shoulder, their white chests and rust-colored cheeks bright against the red metal. One looks to the side with a soft, sleepy gaze, while the other peers calmly ahead. In the hallway behind them, slippers, a basket, and a wooden door frame suggest a cozy household.
Wagons have a long connection to this breed. Bernese Mountain Dogs were once used in Switzerland to pull carts loaded with milk, cheese, and other goods. Their strength and steady nature made them valuable farm helpers. Today, some owners enjoy cart-pulling as a hobby, though it requires careful training and a fully grown, healthy dog, and it should not be tried with puppies.
For puppies, a wagon is just a fun place to sit. Make sure it is stable, that the puppies cannot tip it, and that you never leave them alone in it. If you take a puppy out in a wagon, ask your vet about when it is safe to go to public places, since young pups need their vaccinations first.
The pair look ready for an adventure, but for now, the wagon is parked and the passengers are comfortable. They will probably stay here as long as the view is good. Whoever is pulling it later will have a very fluffy crew to carry.
