Five Corgi Puppies Packed Into a Basket, and Not One Wanted Out
A round wicker basket holds five red and white puppies packed in like jelly beans, with big ears, pink noses, and white blazes on their faces. Three look upward with bright eyes, one tilts its head, and one hides its face under a sibling. A knitted throw and a small blue toy rest beside the basket, giving the room a soft look.
Corgi puppies are born with a lot of personality and a love of snuggling. The red and white coloring, a classic combination, comes with a white blaze, chest, and paws. Many Corgis grow up to be social and alert, and early socialization helps them stay friendly with visitors. Their wide, upright ears are another hallmark of the breed, and they often give a hint of what a pup is feeling.
Corgis can be vocal, with a tendency to bark to herd, warn, or play. Starting gentle training early helps them learn when to speak and when to stay quiet. Also remember that wicker baskets can be chewed, so check regularly for loose splinters, and use a soft blanket on the bottom. If a basket becomes a favorite bed, make sure it's big enough for the pup to stretch.
With five in the basket, there is no extra room, but nobody seems to mind in the slightest. The warmth of five little bodies likely helps, and the basket seems to be the most popular spot in the house. It is a snug, happy cluster of ears and noses.
