The Schnauzer Woke Up Under the Quilt and Found a Row of Early Risers
Morning has arrived, and the quilt is still warm. A black-and-silver Miniature Schnauzer peers out from under a cream-colored quilt with a sleepy, bearded face, and tucked in beside him is a row of fluffy yellow ducklings, all just waking up. A curtain, a basket and a pale wall can be seen in the soft light of the bedroom.
Miniature Schnauzers are smart, sturdy and spirited little dogs. They have a wiry coat and bushy eyebrows and beard that need regular grooming. They are energetic and love games and walks, and they bond closely with their families. Mornings are often a favorite time for a Schnauzer to be right next to their person.
Ducklings are early risers and often start peeping at first light. They need a warm place to sleep, but a bed with a dog is not a safe spot for such small birds, since they could be squashed or fall. They need a secure brooder with a heat source, clean water and proper food. A vet or poultry expert can help set it up.
The Schnauzer looks like he is not quite ready to get up, and the ducklings look ready to begin their day. It is a soft start to a new morning. Slow mornings are the best kind, especially when there is a warm quilt involved. Nobody in this bedroom is in a rush to start the day.
