A Tabby Kitten Tucked Into an Orange Towel Sits Beside a Warm Pie
Swaddled in a soft orange towel like a tiny burrito, a brown tabby kitten looks out with big round eyes and a face full of wonder. The towel curls around her paws and tucks under her chin, and right next to her sits a freshly baked pumpkin pie with a golden crust. Autumn leaves and a small pumpkin decorate the table behind her, and the counter and a cloth in the back suggest a kitchen in the middle of the baking.
Norwegian Forest Cats are strong, fluffy cats with a thick, water-resistant coat, built for cold climates. They are usually friendly and gentle, and they love to climb and explore. Kittens of this breed tend to be playful and take a few years to fully grow. Their long fur needs regular brushing, and a vet can suggest how to keep it healthy.
Wrapping a kitten in a towel is a classic trick to help her feel secure, but kitchens call for care. Hot ovens, pies and spices are not good for cats, and a kitten should not wander across the table when food is out. Pumpkin pie contains sugar and spices that can upset a cat's stomach, and some ingredients, like nutmeg in large amounts, are not recommended for pets.
We will call her Pumpkin Pie, and she looks perfectly content in her blanket. She is keeping a polite distance from the pie, and the only thing she wants to share is her cuddle. A cozy kitten and a pie make a very autumn picture.
