A Kitten Wrapped Herself in Orange Knit Right Next to the Pie

AI imagedevon rexhalloweenpumpkin pie

Wrapped in a chunky orange knit blanket like a tiny burrito, a black Devon Rex kitten looks out from the counter with enormous golden eyes. Her big ears stand up like satellite dishes, and her wavy little coat shows through the folds. Beside her sits a pumpkin pie with a crinkled crust and a slice already missing. The kitchen behind her is soft and out of focus, with a dish towel hanging by a bright window.

Devon Rex cats have a very short, fine coat, so they tend to love warmth. A knitted blanket on the counter makes perfect sense to a kitten who is always hunting for the coziest spot. A few safety notes: pie is not made for cats, since it contains sugar, spices and sometimes ingredients that are harmful to pets, so keep treats out of reach. Kitchen counters can be hot or hold sharp tools, and it is best to train cats to stay off them. A heated pet bed made for cats or a soft fleece blanket on the floor gives a Devon a safe place to snuggle.

Maple is cozy and pleased with herself, with just enough face showing to melt a heart. She might be dreaming of pie, or simply enjoying the warmth. Either way, the orange blanket is a perfect match for the Halloween season.
