The Smallest Pirate in the Neighborhood Is Ready for Treasure
On a yard strewn with dry grass and fallen leaves, a tiny seal point Ragdoll kitten sits in full pirate gear. A black tricorn hat perches on her head, an eye patch covers one eye, and a little black vest with gold buttons fits snugly across her chest. Her free blue eye stares straight ahead, bold and a bit startled. Behind her, a porch with chrysanthemums and a small jack-o'-lantern marks her pirate harbor.
Costumes can be great fun, as long as the kitten stays comfortable. An eye patch is a bit of a risk, since it blocks vision and could scratch or rub the eye, so it is best used only for a very short moment with an adult watching, or skipped for a simple hat or bandana. Any small buttons or straps could be chewed off and swallowed. Ragdolls are known for being gentle, relaxed cats that often go limp when held, and they usually put up with dress-up better than many breeds. Even so, take the outfit off as soon as the photos are done, and give a treat.
Captain Biscuit looks ready to command the garden and guard the treasure, which is probably a toy mouse. The pirate life suits her, even if the crew is only one and the ship is a lawn. Fortune favors the fluffy.
