The French Bulldog Climbed Into the Cereal Box and Got Stuck
A cream French Bulldog peers out from inside a cardboard box that is just a bit too small for him, his front paws draped over the torn edge. His big bat ears stick up and his dark, round eyes look straight at the camera with a worried expression. A towel, a basket and a plant sit in the background of a sunny room. He has gone in, and now he is thinking about how to get out.
French Bulldogs are affectionate, playful companions with bat-like ears and a funny, clownish nature. They are small, sturdy dogs who love to be with people, and they are known for squeezing into the cozy spots of a house. Their short noses mean they can overheat and breathe heavily, so they need moderate exercise and a cool place to rest, and your vet can advise on care. Boxes make great hideaways, but cereal and leftover bits can be a problem if eaten.
If a dog gets stuck, stay calm and open the box gently. Offering a cozy bed with sides, or an empty box without food, gives a dog a safe place to hide.
He looks both embarrassed and comfortable, which is a very French Bulldog combination. He may be stuck, but he is certainly in a good spot. French Bulldogs are known to keep smiling through every adventure, so he will likely wiggle free with a happy snort and look for the next box.
