A French Bulldog Slurped Spaghetti Like It Was Pasta Night
Strands of spaghetti hang from the jaws of a brindle French Bulldog like a limp, orange mustache, and red sauce splashes the tiles around a dropped plate. The bat ears stand straight up, the dark eyes look up with wide, innocent surprise, and the dog's chest still wears a few drips of sauce. A water bottle and a doormat sit behind, and the whole kitchen floor tells the story of a dinner that never made it to the table.
French Bulldogs are affectionate, clownish companions, famous for their bat ears and big personalities. They are also a flat-faced breed, which means they can overheat and struggle to breathe in hot weather, so keep them cool and avoid heavy exercise on warm days. Pasta itself isn't poisonous, but the sauce often contains onion, garlic, and plenty of salt, which are not good for dogs. A dog that wolfs down a big meal can also end up with an upset stomach. Feed measured meals of dog food, and if your dog does gobble up human leftovers, a call to your vet is sensible.
Dinner will need to be rescued, and the floor will need a mop. Yet one fact stands out: the Frenchie looks absolutely delighted, and in his mind this was the best pasta night in history. The only thing missing is a napkin tucked under his chin.
