A Tricolor Corgi Wears the Curtain He Pulled Down
The curtain has become a hood, and the tricolor Corgi is wearing it with the widest eyes in the house. The cream fabric drapes over his head and shoulders, frayed and torn, and his black, tan and white face peeks out of the folds. Behind him the living room sits quietly with a sofa and a plant, as if nothing happened.
Corgis are cheerful, clever herding dogs with short legs and big personalities. They are quick and bold, and they love to tug and chase. A curtain that hangs at nose level is a tempting target, and a good tug can bring the whole thing down on top of them. Their sturdy bodies and strong jaws help them grip well.
Pulling on curtains can hurt a dog if a rod falls, and swallowed fabric can cause problems, so check for bits of chewed cloth. Give a Corgi lots of exercise, since a bored herding dog may look for something to herd. A tug toy of his own, played with on a regular schedule, can be a good outlet. If he swallowed any fabric, call your vet.
The Corgi is frozen with the fabric draped over him, looking like a very surprised ghost. He seems to understand that something has gone wrong, but he is not sure what. He will remain perfectly still until someone comes to help, and his big ears will stay upright the whole time.
