A Tiny Black Pomeranian Moved Into the Clean Laundry Basket
A tiny black Pomeranian has taken command of the laundry basket. She sits right on top of a heap of clean shirts and towels with her round dark eyes looking up and her ears perked like two small triangles. Clothes spill over the sides of the basket, and a bag and a bottle sit by the sunny window behind her.
Pomeranians are small, fluffy dogs with a bold personality and a lot of energy. Descended from larger sled dogs, they are lively, alert and loyal. Many small dogs love to burrow in soft, warm things, and a basket of clean clothes is the perfect nest. The fabrics smell like their people, which makes them very comforting.
A Pom's thick double coat sheds, so a lint roller is helpful when she shares your laundry. Regular brushing helps manage the fur. Small dogs can also get chilly, so a warm bed in a corner can make her feel just as cozy as the laundry pile. Be careful with socks and small items, since swallowing them can cause a blockage that needs a vet's help.
The Pomeranian looks quite pleased with the new bed. The clothes were folded, and now they are a nest. She sits up very straight, as if the basket is a throne, and she plans to stay there for the rest of the afternoon.
