Two Cream Puppies on the Couch Opened Their Mouths at the Very Same Moment
Perfect timing, or perhaps just contagious sleepiness. Two cream puppies lying side by side on a chunky knit blanket have opened their mouths wide in the very same moment, pink tongues curled and tiny teeth on display. The one on the left keeps one eye open as if determined to stay awake, while the one on the right has scrunched both eyes shut. Their big satellite ears stand tall, glowing pink where the window light shines through, and a cozy living room with plants and a mug fills the background.
Those little puppy teeth are worth paying attention to. Chihuahuas have small mouths, and toy breeds in general are prone to crowded teeth and dental problems as they get older. Sometimes baby teeth don't fall out on their own when the adult teeth come in, which your vet can check during puppy visits. Starting dental care early makes a big difference: gently handling the puppy's mouth, introducing a soft pet toothbrush and dog-safe toothpaste, and making it a calm, rewarding routine. Human toothpaste isn't safe for dogs. Regular checkups help catch issues before they become painful.
For now, though, these two are only showing off their teeth for a very good reason: it's nap time, and both of them know it.
Watch long enough and you might find yourself yawning too.
