Three Saint Bernard Puppies Lined Up in the Wagon, Ready to Go
Three red and white Saint Bernard puppies sit shoulder to shoulder in a little red wagon, their big paws gripping the edge. The one on the left wears a worried frown, the one in the middle has a bright pink tongue peeking out, and the one on the right looks off to the side with a thoughtful expression. Behind them, a garden, a shovel and the side of a house fill the yard.
A wagon is a fine way to take a puppy around the yard or neighborhood before it has had all its vaccinations. A puppy who stays off the ground is less likely to pick up germs, and your vet can tell you when it is safe to walk on public paths. Giant breed puppies grow fast, though, so be sure the wagon is strong enough to carry the weight, and never leave puppies unattended in it.
Saint Bernards are patient and tend to enjoy new experiences with their families. A wagon ride can be a useful way for a young puppy to see, hear and smell the world from a safe place. Calm, positive exposure to different sights and sounds, with treats and praise, helps the pup grow into a confident dog.
These three look ready to roll. Someone just needs to grab the handle, and the ride will begin.
