The Pomeranian Found the Baseball Cap and Left Nothing but Scraps
An orange Pomeranian sits on the weathered porch boards, looking away from the camera in perfect profile. His fluffy fur glows in the afternoon light, and next to him lies a tan baseball cap with holes chewed through the crown and pieces torn from the brim. Garden tools, a flower pot and fallen leaves fill the background of the porch. He seems very busy looking at nothing.
Pomeranians are small, spirited dogs with fluffy double coats and big personalities. They are loyal, curious and alert, and they love to explore their surroundings. Those thick coats need regular brushing, especially during shedding season, and they can overheat in hot weather, so shade and water matter. Hats are tempting because they carry the owner's scent, and chewing relieves boredom. Fabric can be swallowed, so call your vet if you think he ate some.
A dog who chews on things left outside may be happier with a daily walk and a chew toy of his own. Keeping hats and shoes in a closet or basket indoors is an easy fix.
He sits there like a fluffy guard of the porch. The cap has had its day, and he is ready to claim the next treasure. Pomeranians are fond of looking dignified after a bit of mischief, and he does it well. A new cap may be on the shopping list soon.
