A Samoyed Smiles From the Middle of a Carpet of Tulips
A carpet of pink and red tulip petals covers the floor, and a fluffy white Samoyed sits right in the middle of it, smiling that famous Samoyed smile. His thick coat is almost glowing, a few petals clinging to his fur, and his dark eyes shine with joy. The leaves and stems lie flattened around him, and laundry and a basket sit in the background.
Samoyeds come from Siberia, where they helped herd reindeer and keep their families warm. Their upturned mouths give them the so-called Sammy smile, which also helps keep them from drooling too much in the cold. They are friendly, social dogs with plenty of energy, and they love to be part of everything the family is doing.
Many flowers are toxic to pets. Tulip bulbs in particular can cause stomach upset or drooling in dogs, and lilies are especially dangerous for cats in the same household. Keep bouquets and potted bulbs out of reach, and check what is growing in your yard. If your dog eats a plant, call your vet or a pet poison hotline for guidance.
The Samoyed does not seem worried at all. He is happy, fluffy and very proud of his new floral carpet. He may have no idea that the bouquet was a gift, and he is simply enjoying the most beautiful floor in the house.
